Answers to common questions about Pregnancy Tools for iPhone and Android.

Frequently asked questions

When should I call my midwife or doctor?
Whenever you are unsure, and always for heavy bleeding, fluid leaking, reduced or different baby movements, or severe pain. The app records what you tap; it cannot judge what is normal for you. Follow your own care provider's instructions.
What is the "5-1-1" message on the contraction screen?
Many providers describe contractions about 5 minutes apart, lasting about 1 minute, for about 1 hour as a time to call. When your last hour of timings looks like that, the app says so in plain words. It does not predict labor; your provider's instructions come first.
Why does the kick counter count to ten?
Ten movements is a common target. You can change it to 5 or 20 in Settings if your provider suggests something different.
Is it a subscription?
No. Pro is a single one-time purchase. Restore it on a new phone with "Restore purchases".
What is free and what is Pro?
Free includes every tool with unlimited use and the last 7 days of kick sessions and feeds. Pro adds your full history and CSV exports of kick sessions, contractions and feeds. Pro is a one-time purchase (no subscription), billed by the App Store or Google Play.
I bought Pro but it is locked on my new phone. How do I restore it?
Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple ID or Google account you used to buy it, then go to Settings, open the Pro screen and tap "Restore purchases".
Is my data backed up? Can I move it to a new phone?
Your data is stored only on your phone (see the privacy policy). Your phone's own iCloud or Google backup may include it. Before switching phones, export your data from Settings and keep the file somewhere safe; we are working on import for a future version.
